"Small Paintings": An Arab Artistic Panorama Celebrating the Aesthetics of Detail
In an artistic event reflecting the dynamism of the Arab art scene, the Sweilem Gallery will open its new exhibition, "Small Paintings," at 6:00 PM this Sunday, July 12, 2026.
The exhibition represents a creative gathering that brings together more than 30 artists from five Arab countries: Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Sudan, and Iraq.
The exhibition also presents a distinct artistic vision, focusing on the "small aesthetics" in visual art, emphasizing that the greatness of creativity is not measured by the size of the painting but by the depth of vision and the power of expression. This artistic gathering forms a platform for visual dialogue, where diverse artistic schools and styles, each brought to life by the artist from their own environment and culture, blend together.
The exhibition boasts a rich roster of creative talents, featuring the work of ceramicist Saeed Al-Sadr, Salah Taher, Fatih Al-Mudarris, Shaker Hassan Al-Said, Amin Al-Basha, Helmy Al-Touni, Mustafa Abdel-Moaty, Adly Rizkallah, and Abdel-Aal Hassan, alongside a distinguished group of participating artists representing different generations and schools from across the region.
