Coinciding with the historic opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, the 6th edition of the International Solar Boat Symposium will be held in Giza, in an exceptional event combining the world's greatest museum with the Giza Pyramids.
The symposium will feature 25 artists from Egypt and around the world, in an artistic and cultural experience that aims to draw inspiration from Egyptian civilization, promote art tourism, and enrich the imagination of contemporary artists.
The Egyptian Solar Boats Exhibitions are preparing to host an exceptional international art event: the 6th International Solar Boats Symposium for Fine Arts, scheduled to take place from May 1st to 7th, 2026.
Ismail Bakr, the visual artist and director, president and founder of the Solar Boats International Exhibitions, stated that this edition is themed "Egypt's Gift to the World," blending the rich heritage of ancient Egyptian civilization with contemporary artistic visions. He added that the choice of timing and location for the symposium, near the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, aims to promote art tourism and showcase Egypt's cultural significance as a beacon of global creativity.
Extensive International Participation and a Distinguished Group of Artists
The symposium will feature 25 leading visual artists representing several countries, including Egypt, Argentina, Poland, Tunisia, England, and others.
Among the most prominent participants are: From Egypt: Professor Ahmed Selim (Faculty of Fine Arts, Minya), artist Mohsen Abu El-Azm, and Dr. Mohamed Desouki, artist Anis El-Zoghbi, and a constellation of artists including Safaa Mokhtar, Emad Omar El-Farouk, and Yasser Eid.
From around the world: artist Maria Cristina (Argentina), artists Jolanta Kosmirska, Isabella Sen, and Anna Zuzana (Poland), Agata Urbanska (Poland), artist Nassiba Abadi (Tunisia), and artist Yasmine Jordan (England).
Distinguished Events and Workshops for Children
In addition to the main exhibition, the program includes a specialized art workshop for "Young Creators" under the supervision of Dr. El-Shazly Abdallah, Professor of Sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Minia University. This workshop aims to discover emerging talents and connect them to authentic Egyptian heritage. The symposium concludes with a major international exhibition showcasing the creative output of the participating artists, whose works are inspired by the spirit of the "Sun Boats" as a symbol of crossing into new artistic horizons.
