Brief Biography
Najwa Belfakih Ghannouchi
From the city of Sousse (Republic of Tunisia)
I began my career in 1997. I have participated in over 60 national and international exhibitions. I was honored at the National Day celebrations in 2008 and 2009, and received the Self-Taught Touch Medal in 2010 at the National Forum for Self-Taught Women Artists in Visual Expression in Monastir.
Among my most important international participations were in 2018 at the Cairo Opera House (medal and certificate of appreciation), at the Al-Ahram Art Gallery in Cairo (shield and certificate of appreciation), and also the Arab Visual Artists' Footprints Forum Medal (certificate of appreciation).
I have organized five solo exhibitions, most notably: "Sensations and Colors" in 2013 and "Sugar Secrets" in 2024 at the Husseiniya Hall in the Archaeological Museum of Sousse, and my two exhibitions "Sultanic Colors" in 2019 as part of the International Conference "French Language, Francophone Books" at the Adonis Hall in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in Sousse.
I practice various artistic techniques.
Practical experience: dual techniques, oil painting, acrylic painting, watercolor, and stenciling on canvas and various other media.
I hold a professional artist card. More than 35 of my works have been published in numerous newspapers, magazines, and books, both nationally and internationally, including the piece "Healthy Bath, Bride" on the cover of a book.
