The Bibliotheca Alexandrina hosts the second edition of the Tale of Two Cities exhibition in collaboration with Art D'Égypte. This cultural exchange, running from October 15 to November 4, 2024, aims to bridge the historical and cultural ties between Alexandria and Athens.
Following the success of the first edition in Athens earlier this year, Tale of Two Cities will showcase the artistic convergence between Greek and Egyptian artists. Their works will explore the deep-rooted historical bonds between the two cities, while celebrating their unique identities and contributions.
Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, emphasized the significance of this exhibition, stating, "It celebrates the long-standing strong bonds between Alexandria and Athens.
The artworks will be displayed in various locations within the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, including the outdoor Plaza of Civilizations. The exhibition is open to the public from October 15 to November 4, 2024.
