Hafez Gallery is pleased to present a dual exhibition bringing together the works of Attyat Sayed (1935–2021) and El Dessouki Fahmi (1938–2024)—two seminal figures of modern Egyptian visual culture.

Shaped by decades of engagement with press illustration, their practices emerged from a space where urgency, narrative clarity, and expressive line were essential. While Attyat Sayed’s work unfolds through instinct, gesture, and emotional intensity, El Dessouki Fahmi’s compositions reflect a sustained dialogue with literature, history, and symbolic form.

Placed in conversation, their works reveal parallel yet distinct artistic paths, united by a lifelong commitment to making and to the enduring power of visual language.
