The title "Hexapoda" comes from the Greek word "hexa," meaning six, and "poda," meaning legs. The name "Hexapoda" (meaning six-legged creatures) reflects the theme of the artworks, which offer an artistic vision of the insect world.
The exhibition is open daily from 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM. Through 32 paintings executed in oil and acrylic, along with collage and mixed media, the artist explores the aesthetics and symbolism of the insect world, its intricate details, and its visual diversity. This rich artistic experience, characterized by movement, precision, and variety, also explores a remarkable system of balance that transcends the traditional view of these tiny creatures, which are a rich source of contemplation and inspiration linked to ancient Egyptian civilization.
It is worth noting that artist Manal Tantawy is a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University, Department of Oil Painting. She participated in several group exhibitions during her studies and also in the "Dhay" graduation projects exhibition, continuing her exploration of employing diverse materials to present contemporary artistic visions.
