Beyond Black and White

Beyond Black and White

Explore the Philosophy of Life in the "Gray Zone"... We invite you to the opening of artist Mona Omar's exhibition.

As we await fleeting moments of beauty that shape our features, Dr. Mahmoud Hamed, Head of the Fine Arts Sector, opens the doors of the "Nahdet Misr" Hall at the Mahmoud Mokhtar Cultural Center, inviting you on an exceptional visual journey with the "Beyond Black and White" exhibition by artist Mona Omar, at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

In this exhibition, the artist doesn't merely capture photographs and video footage, but takes us on a creative journey centered on the "fleeting human moment." Through her lens, Omar captures spontaneous smiles, loving glances brimming with stories, and the tranquility we experience in moments of serenity, placing us before a mirror that reflects the essence of the human experience in all its manifestations.

The exhibition doesn't stop at the level of the image, but delves into a philosophical dimension, giving the color gray a voice that speaks of balance. The artist sees it as a neutral zone, a bridge between our past and our future. In this "gray area," she finds the perfect space to experience the details of our lives, far from the clamor of unbridled joy or the harshness of unbridled sorrow, in a state of tranquility and contemplation.

We are delighted to invite you to join us in this unique artistic experience. The exhibition will continue to welcome visitors until July 12, 2026. We look forward to your presence and participation in this inspiring visual dialogue.
