Former Minister of Culture, Dr. Emad Abu Ghazi, along with Dr. Mohamed Abu El-Ghar, Dr. Mohamed Abla, artist Tarek El-Komy (Head of the Syndicate of Fine Artists), and art critic Hisham Kandil, inaugurated the Hamed Nada Gallery at the Arab Atelier for Culture and Arts in Zamalek on Sunday evening.

The opening was attended by renowned publisher Ibrahim El-Moallem (Chairman of the Board of Dar El-Shorouk), former Minister of Industry Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour, artist Amr Hamed Nada, prominent media figure Bothaina Kamel, artist Dr. Khaled Sorour (Head of the Fine Arts Sector), Dr. Sami El-Balshy, poet Zein El-Abedin Fouad, journalist Sherif Kandil, poet Mohamed Harby, artist Dr. Shams El-Qarnafly, and a host of intellectuals, artists from Egypt and the Arab world, and art enthusiasts, who gathered at the Arab Atelier on Hassan Assem Street in Zamalek.

The festival began with the opening of the Hamed Nada Gallery and Exhibition Hall, marking the start of a new initiative to name the halls of the Arab Atelier for Culture and Arts Foundation across all its branches in Egypt after prominent figures in contemporary Egyptian art.

Inside the Hamed Nada Gallery, the exhibition of artist Ra'aya Allah Helmy, titled "An Unfinished Artistic Story," was inaugurated, representing a remarkable opening to the Hamed Nada Gallery's exhibitions this season.

In the halls of the Diaa Zamalek Gallery, the exhibition of artist Atiya Helmy, titled "A Trace of Nada," was opened. Alongside it, an important realist work by her husband, the renowned artist Hamed Nada, was made available. This work depicts his father and includes a collection of sketches by the great artist Hamed Nada, a pioneer of popular expressionism.

The Diaa Zamalek Gallery also hosted the opening of a retrospective exhibition for the esteemed artist Dr. Sabry Abdel Ghani, a pioneer of art education in Egypt, titled "100 Years of Art."

The works in the exhibition represent all phases of the career of the late artist Sabri Abdel Ghani, a pioneer of the Egyptian art movement, who mentored a large number of renowned Egyptian and Arab artists.

The Sabri Abdel Ghani exhibition includes 100 paintings, all from the collection of the Arab Atelier for Culture and Arts, according to art critic Hisham Qandil.

The three exhibitions will run until September 14, 2026.
